A versatile and energetic Scottish accordion player, based in Chicago, who enjoys different styles, making music, and having fun!

Early on

I grew up in the central belt of Scotland. Taught the accordion from a young age by my Auntie Anne, I have over 25 years experience playing the accordion.

I was involved in music from an educational standpoint until 2009, playing the accordion, fiddle, guitar, drums, and even dipping into some vocals!

During my time in Scotland I played in multiple competitions, and was part of a band along with friends and family, even releasing a CD of our music.

Current

In 2017 I purchased a second accordion to use where I now live, in Chicago, IL. Since then I have continued to grow as a player, making many public appearances at the Scottish Traditional music sessions at the Duke of Perth. I now run this session, which is every second Tuesday. Details can be found on their facebook page, or the schedule page of this website.

I’ve also been known to cover popular music on accordion, and even do fun “guess the tune” quizzes for friends/family/work events.

With experience playing for highland dancers, ceilidhs, and purely performance music to listen to, I can add value to any event!
